Since choosing a career shift and stepping into the world of education in 2016, my path has been illuminated by the countless transformations I've witnessed in the children I've had the privilege to teach and mentor.
From the humbling experience of teaching and volunteering in rural classrooms in South Africa to exploring the cutting-edge technology of classrooms in the Middle East, each experience has deepened my understanding of the power of education to shape lives and communities.
MY PERSONAL STORY
My journey in education has been filled with diverse experiences, from the rural villages of South Africa to the modern cities of the Middle East. In a small school without electricity or running water and with a massive language barrier, I learned the true meaning of resilience and resourcefulness, finding creative ways to engage and inspire my students amidst challenging circumstances. In high-tech classrooms equipped with the latest educational tools, I witnessed the transformative potential of technology to enhance learning and expand horizons. It was here that I began to integrate mindfulness practices into my teaching, recognising the profound impact of cultivating present-moment awareness on student well-being and academic success.

Later, as an art teacher, I tapped into the transformative power of creativity, fostering a sense of joy and wonder in my students as they explored their innermost thoughts and emotions through artistic expression. Drawing upon my own experiences as a lifelong learner and seeker of wisdom, I ran creativity and mindfulness workshops in both the Middle East and Cape Town, guiding participants on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.​

At the core of my philosophy is a steadfast belief: every child carries within them an inherent goodness and a unique light waiting to shine. With a nurturing blend of love and support, I believe that the inner strengths and gifts of each child can be discovered.

My teaching approach marries connection with mentorship—a combination that fosters both respect and warmth. This balance ensures I’m approachable and trusted, perfect for guiding young learners through their pivotal years with empathy and direction.

Creating a sense of community is pivotal in my work. Whether through group workshops or family-centric private mentorship, I emphasise the importance of learning from and supporting each other. This collective learning experience cultivates a deep sense of belonging and mutual growth.

With a natural talent for demystifying the complexities of emotions, I specialise in making emotional concepts both understandable and relatable. My sessions are designed to empower children to navigate their emotions and relationships with ease, equipping them to navigate the world with compassion for self and the world around them.
Creativity and Play
The joy of learning is intertwined with creativity and play. Recognising the critical role of imagination and creativity, I integrate playful learning experiences that inspire children to explore, imagine, and express themselves freely, unlocking their boundless potential.​
IMPACT
The greatest reward of my calling is witnessing the remarkable transformations in the children I work with. Seeing them find confidence in expressing themselves authentically, recognise their strengths, and navigate their world with confidence and compassion, is what provides me with all the fulfilment needed to continue with this work.
